- Q. Does the Pebeo 150 paint need to be glazed then fired in a kiln?
- A. No, this range of paints markers and liners use a paint that is designed be applied directly onto glazed pottery and can be fired at home in a domestic oven.
- Q. Will I need to bake these pots at a high temperature?
- A.They will need to be baked for 30 to 35 mins at 150 degrees.
- Q. Can I use the same paints on both glazed and unglazed pottery?
- A. No. Unglazed Bisque is porous and needs either an underglaze paint which is absorbed by the porous bisque, or alternatively an Acrylic paint.
- Q. If I use underglaze paint do I need to get the item fired in a kiln?
- A. Yes. The bisque will still have a matt porous finish and will need to be glazed and fired at high temperature in a kiln.
- Q. Does acrylic painted bisque need glazing and firing?
- A. No, acrylic paint will seal the bisque and must not be fired.
